Prevention Drive – HPV Vaccination for a Healthier Tomorrow
“Preventive healthcare is not a luxury—it’s a right, especially for the most vulnerable.”
In collaboration with KIMSHEALTH CSR, Vincentian Social Services partnered in the Prevention Drive – Protecting Futures, a large-scale initiative focused on HPV vaccination and awareness to prevent cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer remains a significant public health concern in India, particularly among women from low-income communities. Despite being largely preventable, it continues to be one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths due to limited awareness, delayed diagnosis, and lack of access to vaccination and screening.
As a committed partner, Vincentian Social Services supported community mobilization, outreach coordination, and awareness initiatives alongside vaccination drives.
Key Highlights of the Initiative
- 2,000+ doses of HPV vaccine administered to adolescent girls and young women
- Awareness sessions conducted on cervical cancer prevention and reproductive health
- Implementation across Kerala and Tamil Nadu, reaching underserved communities
- Strong community-based mobilization improving participation in semi-urban and rural areas
Next Phase – Reaching the Most Vulnerable
Building on the success of this initiative, the next phase will expand outreach to children and young women living with HIV in Kerala, who face higher health risks. The program will incorporate tailored strategies to address their unique challenges and ensure inclusive access to preventive healthcare.
This initiative represents a powerful model of public health collaboration— where medical expertise, community trust, and strategic partnerships come together to protect lives.
We reaffirm our commitment to making preventive healthcare accessible, inclusive, and a cornerstone of community well-being.
Medical Assistance Programs
Compassionate Support for Healing and Hope
At Vincentian Social Services, we believe that no one should face illness alone—especially when burdened by poverty and chronic health conditions. Our Medical Assistance Programs are built on empathy, careful need assessment, and a commitment to restore dignity and offer hope to those in critical need.
Pratheeksha – Dialysis Support Program
“Pratheeksha” means Hope in Malayalam.
Launched at the Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, this program supports economically vulnerable patients undergoing dialysis. Dialysis is not just a treatment—it is a lifeline with significant hidden costs:
- Travel expenses for each hospital visit
- Loss of daily wages for both patient and caregiver
- Uncovered medical costs that are often unaffordable
Many patients require dialysis 2–3 times per week, making sustained treatment difficult. Through Pratheeksha, we provide ₹1,000 per dialysis session, helping reduce financial strain and preserve dignity.
Project SNEHA – Supporting Children with SLE
Through Project SNEHA, we extend targeted support to children diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)—a chronic autoimmune condition requiring continuous medical care, emotional support, and financial assistance.
General Medical Aid
- Monthly financial assistance for chronically ill individuals
- Emergency support for surgeries and critical treatments
- Non-medical assistance covering travel, food, and caregiving needs
Our medical support goes beyond financial aid—it is a gesture of solidarity during life’s most vulnerable moments. Through Pratheeksha, SNEHA, and our broader initiatives, we strive to reduce suffering, restore dignity, and bring hope where it is needed most.

Ayaloram
A New Dawn in Elderly Care
As Kerala undergoes a demographic shift with a growing elderly population—
often left behind due to the migration of younger generations—the need for
compassionate, community-based care has become more urgent than ever.
In response, Vincentian Social Services (De Care) launched
Ayaloram, meaning “Next to Them”—a pioneering initiative
that promotes healthy aging, emotional well-being, and social inclusion
among senior citizens connected to our De Care Communities.
What Makes Ayaloram Unique?
Unlike institutional care, Ayaloram is a vibrant therapeutic community
where elders come together regularly to:
- Share stories and life experiences
- Build friendships and support networks
- Participate in games, group activities, and outings
- Receive emotional and social support
- Foster intergenerational bonding with children and families
A Vision for Age-Inclusive Communities
Ayaloram is rooted in the belief that aging is a continuation—not a decline.
It celebrates the dignity, wisdom, and value of the elderly by:
- Empowering elders to care for one another
- Creating spaces of belonging and purpose
- Encouraging family reunification and intergenerational solidarity
Through Ayaloram, we are reimagining elderly care—not as passive support,
but as active inclusion.
It is a movement toward an age-inclusive society where every elderly person
is seen, heard, valued, and celebrated.
